Putnam Hospital in Carmel, NY was in need of alterations and additions to its Emergency Department in order to serve its patients with the best possible medical care. The Di Salvo Engineering Group met and exceeded the goals of the hospital, significantly improving the experience of its future patients. TDEG designed a new ambulance entrance and its cover, and separated this entrance from the ambulatory, or walk-in, entrance. Additions were made to provide a larger waiting room and registration space, and the ambulatory drop off approach was enhanced to be more functional. TDEG also designed and helped to implement a brand new Fast Track unit, as well as six new patient treatment stations with associated support areas.
