John M. MacDonald, PE

Principal Engineer

John recently rejoined TDEG.   After graduating with his BSCE he was hired by Di Salvo + Cetra as a Project Engineer.   In 1984 he became a partner in the firm for the newly formed “Di Salvo Associates”.  In 1994, John became the sole proprietor of his own firm, then held positions at a Connecticut firm, and finally came full circle back to TDEG.

He has 46 years of general structural engineering practice in Lower Fairfield and Westchester counties including many single-family residential, and religious. Institutional, food processing, aerospace, industrial, and commercial/retail building projects.  In recent years, he has had a strong focus on structural restoration and waterproofing programs for corrosion-damaged parking structures.

John enjoys golf, traveling, and much time spent with his family.
