Project Details

The new school building is located along a taxiway at Brainard Airport. The building is a one-story, 150′ x 240′, aircraft maintenance training facility with classroom, workshop, and hangar areas. The hangar is 10,000 square feet with a 100’ clear span and a 31-foot tall center, flanked by single-story classrooms, offices and specialty shop, including an area devoted to teaching students about the use of the specialized composite materials used in aircraft construction. Other new structures at the school include a test cell building, underground storage tanks, and a ramp connecting to the adjacent taxiway.
