The Old Town Hall building at 67 Main Street in Brewster was constructed in 1896 and is listed on the National Historic Registrar. The building had replaced two former buildings, both of which had burned to the ground during the late 1800’s.
There will be renovations made to the upper level of the building which is configured as an auditorium. Presently the upper level, which houses a stage, auditorium, dressing rooms, lobby and mezzanine is in disrepair. After the restoration there are plans to use the space for concerts, dance productions, film screenings, etc. and will accommodate 200 people.
The restoration will include a new fixed seating, stage stairs, stair tower, new elevator tower and new front steps.
