The Old Town Hall building at 67 Main Street in Brewster was constructed in 1896 and is listed on the National Historic Registrar. The building had replaced two former buildings, both of which had burned to the ground during the late 1800’s.
Renovations have been made to the upper level of the building which is configured as an auditorium. The upper level, which housed a stage, auditorium, dressing rooms, lobby and mezzanine had been in disrepair. The Town hopes to use the building for concerts, dance productions, film screenings, etc. The space will accommodate 200 people.
The restoration included new fixed seating, stage stairs, stair tower, new elevator tower and new front steps.
