TDEG is providing structural engineering services to this 100-year-old building, built in 1912. The building is now used as a municipal building managed by New Canaan’s Parks and Recreation. TDEG’s work includes investigation, design of repairs and construction administration and review of repairs to this historic building. Select locations exhibited slab and steel deterioration and failure which were addressed during the roof tile replacement. Design deficiencies were identified and alterations implemented with everything based upon another 100-year life cycle.
