Project Details
The new theater replaces a town icon, the movie house built in 1939. The facade of the new theater and interior lobby duplicates the original, thus keeping the look of a town treasure. The remainder of the building is a larger and technically up-to-date version of the original.
The 23,000 square foot, Prospector Theater is a three-screen theater, with two stories and a full basement. The new program includes: A “black box” theater for films and live stage performances on the 2nd floor and two film theaters on the main floor. The building is designed to also accommodate parties and special events.
