 Architect: Wendy Evans Joseph Architecture New York, NY Profile: TDEG provided Structural Design, Special Inspections and Structural Steel Detailing services for this 15,000 SF two story addition to an existing 1950's shopping center. The center's unique signature undulating aluminum façade was reused and supplemented along the front, rear and side elevations of the addition.
An aggressive construction schedule added complication to a project that had to be completed without disturbing the existing adjoining tenants during business hours. TDEG tackled the schedule challenges by providing Structural Steel Detailing services, which reduced the time for steel shop drawing production and approval to a mere 2 weeks. The addition is scheduled to open in the spring of 2010, offering additional leasable retail and office space. |
