 Architect: Centerbrook Architects and Planners Centerbrook, CT Profile: A new 17,000 SF two story research facility with classroom, office and laboratory space at the state-of-the-art cancer and molecular genetic research center located on the north shore of Long Island. Estimated cost of construction is $8,000,000. Design collaboration was aided by the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems. Architectural and Structural models were linked to coordinate the concrete flat plate, structural steel frames and wood framing between disciplines.
