The Di Salvo Ericson Group is a professional consulting engineering firm offering comprehensive structural engineering services throughout the United States. Since its inception in 1973, the firm has grown to be one of the largest consulting firms in the Northeast, dedicated exclusively to structural engineering.

Technical Excellence and Innovation

The Di Salvo Ericson Group has received awards for technical competence and design excellence from such prestigious organizations as the American Institute of Architects and the American Council of Engineering Companies/Connecticut. The firm was one of the first to participate in two professional peer review programs: the Technical Peer Review Program of the Structural Engineers Risk Management Council and the Organizational Peer Review Program of the American Council of Engineering Companies. These programs provide an objective look at the organization for efficiency, ability to deliver quality design services and good business practices.

Our Construction Performance Analysis group provides investigatory and forensic structural services, with special expertise in prestressed and post-tensioned concrete construction and concrete material technology. Our own field testing capabilities, supplemented when necessary by laboratory testing, complements our technical strengths and offers the opportunity for creative structural designs, innovative and efficient use of materials, evaluation of structural problems, and practical solutions to construction challenges.

Staff

Our staff includes registered Professional Engineers, LEED Accredited Professionals, CAD Designers, Field Engineers and a professional administrative staff.  The field of structural engineering and the technology associated with it are rapidly changing. We work with all staff members in developing and meeting their individual continuing education goals by encouraging course work and by providing in-house seminars. Our clients benefit from an energetic workforce and the latest developments in the field.

We believe in the open sharing of ideas, responsibilities and rewards. Staff members participate in weekly coordination meetings, project management, quality reviews, financial disclosure and profits. Professional Standards

The Di Salvo Ericson Group has built a reputation of trust among its long-standing clients and business associates. The firm and its principals have played an important role in promoting sound business ethics and standards. We are founding members of the Connecticut Structural Engineers Coalition, Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) Connecticut chapter, Structural Engineers Risk Management Council (SERMC), the Council of American Structural Engineers (CASE) and the Risk Management Program (RMP) of CASE. In addition, we are active in the American Consulting Engineers Council of Connecticut, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, and the Post-Tensioning Institute.
